Steven McCutcheon is our senior litigation associate. Steve is a graduate of Queen’s University and obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor. He was called to the Bar in 1987.
He has practiced law in Toronto, Milton, Oakville and Burlington over the years as well as spending time with the Peel Regional Police Service and running his own sports car business. He was one of the founding members of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal, adjudicating thousands of landlord-and-tenant cases over his six year appointment. Steve returned to private practice in 2004. In 2006, having observed Steve’s negotiating and litigation skills, Andy Snelius invited Steve to join him in the practice of law.
As with all members of our firm, Steve restricts his practice to family law. Steve approaches each case with a view to negotiating a satisfactory resolution for his clients. When a negotiated resolution is not possible, being an experienced litigator with over 25 years of legal experience, Steve is a skilled advocate who will provide the necessary representation to advance and protect his client’s rights. His trial record speaks for itself and has resulted in many referrals from former satisfied clients.
Steve has, through his representation and advocacy, earned the respect of his clients, legal colleagues and the local judiciary.
